Thunderstruck Delivers A Great Ride! Feb 18, 2007
By C. Gordon
"C. Gordon"
When the announcer shouts, "Gentlemen, start your engines," secrets, intrigue, and sexual tension rev their motors on Thunderstruck's starting line, and the cars aren't the only things that move fast in this spin around the race track. If you weren't a NASCAR fan before, Roxanne St. Claire's tightly woven story will make you one before you reach the finish line in this collision of wills, hearts and racing cars.
Change has always been spelled d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r for Thunder Struck Racing Team owner Shelby Jackson. And soccer heart-throb Mick Churchill is about to change Shelby's world. His money and prestige can turn everything around for Shelby's faltering team, but will he destroy one of the last family-owned NASCAR teams and wreck her heart in the process?
Roxanne St. Claire has created her own `track magic' in this thrilling page-turner that will captivate you with the opening sentence and leave you cheering at the checkered flag.

Fantastic NASCAR tale.... Feb 08, 2007
By Deborah Wiley Shelby Jackson hates change. When her grandfather, Ernie, breaks the news to her that he wants to sell his share of Thunder Racing to hotshot soccer star Mick Churchill, Shelby is determined to do whatever it takes to stop the sale. Mick is equally determined to convince Shelby that he is serious about his offer. Who will win in this clash of wills?
THUNDERSTRUCK is an exciting tale that quickly engages the reader into the world of NASCAR racing. Roxanne St. Claire deftly incorporates technical details about restrictor plate racing in a way that even readers unfamiliar with the sport will enjoy and appreciate. You'll hear the cheering crowds and the roaring engines while visualizing the flashing lights at Daytona through Ms. St. Claire's vivid descriptions of Daytona.
The issue surrounding the struggle of family owned teams to function in a sport that is now dominated by corporate teams is sensitively addressed. Long time NASCAR fans will understand Shelby's reluctance to forgo tradition. Mick's ignorance of the sport allows readers who are not NASCAR fans to learn about a sport with deep family roots while enjoying the storyline.
Roxanne St. Claire has written a fabulous romantic suspense with THUNDERSTRUCK. The intrigue and mystery is exceptionally well done while the romance is sweetly sensual. Roxanne St. Claire will leave readers THUNDERSTRUCK with this magnificent story!

good read Jan 21, 2009
By KW If your a sucker for romance books and a fan of Nascar then ya gotta read this book.
romance and fun in the NASCAR Oct 23, 2008
By A. Vidhayasirinun I'd enjoyed the book. At the beginning, Shelby Jackson's attitude was a real pain but as the story moved on, she became more likable. Mick was not very complex - pretty predicable - Mr. charming.
Actually best of all, Thunder Jackson (or his so-called 'ghost') was my favorite character.
It is definitely worthwhile your time and money.
An exciting read for fans and non-fans alike Nov 10, 2007

This is the story of a small family owned team trying to compete against the larger owners that dominate the sport. The grandfather wishes to retire and sell his portion of the ownership to a famous British soccer player whom he believes will attract corporate sponsorship and high quality drivers that will revitalize the faltering team. The granddaughter is highly suspicious of the soccer player's motives, and is hesitant to trust him to be her partner in owning the team. As he works to prove himself to her, both on and off the track, the team is being sabatoged. Lots of action and intrique ensue - is he the one sabatoging the team? Are his motives honorable? Will the team excel or dissolve if he becomes a partner? The chemistry between the granddaughter and the soccer player sparkles. The setting is Speed Week at Daytona, so there is a lot of interesting behind the scenes details of this two week long event.
